I am Rosaline Rajan, a professional, a mother, a wife, a sister and a daughter who is dedicated to increasing awareness among women on matters that impact every individual in our society.
I run a discussion group where a few women get together, pick a topic for discussion, go back and read about it, do research on it and come back to discuss the topic. We meet on a Friday night over dinner to discuss issues that are important to all of us.
Unless we start reading, researching and discussing about critical issues, we cannot stand up for ourselves and make our voices heard.
Summary of our discussion is then posted on this blog for further conversation.

Why should we be talking ?
We women don’t share our opinions with the larger audience as often as men do. Why?
We hesitate to take part in public debate. Why?
We pull ourselves out of a conversation by discounting ourselves and our knowledge. Why?
We think that what “we know” is not significant…..it does not matter to others. Why?
We don’t put our hands up as often as men do. Why?
We seem to be very comfortable talking about issues such as children and education, and not about other issues. Why?
Don’t the other issues matter to us?
